Tyvek® 1422A

DuPont™ Tyvek® 1422A is strong, breathable, waterproof and dustproof. This combination of properties makes for a material that is ideal to store and protect, for example, robot covers, furniture or artefacts.

The smooth side of the material has an antistatic coating that repels dust and dirt, while the matt side tends to retain dust and dirt that comes off dusty artefacts. Distilled water may remove the antistatic agent from the Tyvek®.

Tyvek® 1422A has had softening treatment; it has a weight of c. 41,5 g/m² and a thickness of c. 140 µm.

Tyvek® 1422A also provides a flexible solution for the packaging of pharmaceutical equipment for steam sterilisation, when this is conducted in a clean room procedure.
